About The John Williams Fan Club
JWFC's history:
JWFC
was established in 1983 and was officially recognizedby Mr. Williams in
1987 when he made his first trip to Japan on a concert tour with The Boston
Pops Orchestra.
In 1993, JWFC held a huge 10th anniversary party. Mr. Williams was in Japan
with The Boston Pops at the time and JWFC took the opportunity to invite
him to the festivities. Our members had a wonderful time with him! Mr.
Williams even presented the club with its own piece of theme
music during the occasion.
JWFC co-produced a concert containing Mr. Williams work with New Japan
Philharmonic Orchestra in 1996. Our organization also co-produced "The
Star Wars Trilogy Concert" with Tokyo New Philharmonic in
November of 1997, and it was a great success.
JWFC' Activities & Benefits: Publication of our
Club Magazine, "Williams Times" is
issued twice a year and is a research book of more than 100 pages.
The Hollywood Bowl Tour is a concert Mr.
Williams holds annually at the Hollywood Bowl in southern California, and
our members have access to tour packages for this annual event. An annual
Boston Pops concert held in Boston is another event for which JWFC makes
tour packages available to club members. Members also have the added benefit
of the opportunity to meet Mr. Williams after these concerts...pending
his availability.
